Started off as an off shoot of Driver Magazine by well known car enthusiast, journalist and South Pacific Radio talk back host Allan Dick. (the original founder of Magazine NZ Auto News in 1967).
Its focus was Classic Cars, but particularly those found in New Zealand. Also flash backs to Motorsport and Specials of the past. Has created quite a following (and stir) in
NZ Classic Car circles and has now become a competitor to NZ Classic Car which had a free reign since the NZ Classic Wheels debacle. However as Allan Dick has even recently commented, this is more of a hobby for him! |

The Longest serving NZ Car magazine in the country apart from Beaded Wheels and the AA. Has been around since 1967 and generally not popularly known, but some early back issues are still available from the publishers!
Started up by Rob Campbell and over last few years sold the magazine to a Paul Grace and his wife who were long serving staff writers. Rob still writes features on historical Hot Rods and Motorsport and hot rod personalities.
Covers mainly the NZ Hot Rod Scene includes readers cars, DIY articles, Motorsport Flash Backs, Hot Rod Club events etc. |
